In this privacy statement you can read which personal data Dutch Lease Company can process via this website, why this happens and what choices and rights you have. The lease calculator calculates in your browser; you do not have to enter any personal data for this.

What data do we process?
- Calculation data: purchase price, amount financed, term, balloon payment, assumed interest rate and indicative monthly payment. The calculator processes these values in your browser. If you go from the calculation to the contact form, the values are temporarily passed as URL parameters and shown in the form. They may therefore appear in your browser history or, depending on the provider, in technical web server logs.
- Contact request: name, email address, telephone number if applicable, subject and message. When you send a request from the calculator, the calculation values mentioned above can also be part of the message.
- Abuse prevention: When form submission is enabled, the web server uses the IP address and time of a request to limit abuse. For the 15-minute limit, the website temporarily stores a hash of the IP address and submission times in a file outside the public website files. Expired entries are cleaned up when another form submission is processed; message contents are not stored in that file.
- Technical data: the hosting provider may process data about a connection, such as IP address, time and requested page. The hosting provider used and its retention periods must be entered before go-live.
Why and on what basis?
- We use contact details to answer questions. For a routine business enquiry, the legal basis is generally our legitimate interest in responding to your request.
- If you request a lease proposal or further discussion, we use your details to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement.
- The temporary use of IP addresses serves the legitimate interest of limiting form misuse.
The calculator provides an estimate only. The website does not make credit decisions, create credit profiles or automatically decide whether an application is accepted.
Who do we share data with?
Forms send messages to info@dlc-lease.nl through the hosting provider's mail service. If Resend is configured, Resend processes the message on our behalf for delivery. The website code does not transmit calculator or form data directly to a lender, dealer or other leasing partner. If data is later shared with a partner, we must inform you before that transfer.
The hosting provider may process technical connection data. Before publication, verify the identity and retention periods of the hosting and email providers and whether they process data outside the European Economic Area. At present, we cannot make a confirmed statement about such transfers.
How long do we keep data?
The website does not store requests in its own database. When the e-mail function is activated, submitted requests will be delivered to the configured mailbox. The company must determine a concrete retention period for that mailbox before activation and delete requests as soon as they are no longer needed for answering or follow-up, unless a legal obligation or a concrete legal claim requires further storage. The technical retention periods of the hosting and email providers must also be checked before go-live.
The form rate limit temporarily stores a hash of the IP address and timestamps in a file outside the public website files. Expired entries are removed when a subsequent form submission is processed. Message contents are not stored there or in a website database.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the situation, you can request access to, correction, deletion or restriction of your data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest and request data portability when the legal conditions are met. If processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent. This does not change the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
Send privacy requests to info@dlc-lease.nl or to the registered address above, and specify which request they concern. Do not include a copy of an identity document unless this proves necessary after consultation; if you do, at least mask your photo, machine-readable zone (MRZ), document number and citizen service number (BSN).
Cookies and similar techniques
The website code does not currently set or read cookies, analytics IDs or advertising trackers, and it does not store calculator values in local or session storage. Read our cookie policy. The hosting provider is not yet known, so before launch also check whether the hosting or security layer itself sets technical cookies.
